Fascia-Focused Movement Therapy

Support Pain, Mobility & Healthy Ageing

A holistic approach to health and wellbeing that can be applied to support you through a wide variety of challenges. Whether you are dealing with physical or mental health conditions, or looking to understand how the two effect each other, yoga therapy can help.

Release tension. Restore natural movement. Rediscover ease.

A personalised movement therapy that helps you reduce pain, improve posture and mobility, calm your nervous system, and create lasting changes in the way you move.

Pain, stiffness and reduced mobility don't have to become "just part of getting older."

Fascia-Focused Movement Therapy is a personalised approach that helps you reduce pain, improve posture, move with greater ease and build lasting strength. Using gentle movement, myofascial release techniques and education, we'll work together to improve how your body moves so you can feel more comfortable, more confident and more connected to yourself.

Whether you're living with persistent pain, recovering from recurring injuries, or simply want to move well for years to come, sessions are tailored entirely to you.

What is Fascia-Focused Movement Therapy?

Unlike hands-on manual therapy, Fascia-Focused Movement Therapy is something we do together rather than something that is done to you.

Through carefully chosen movements, self-myofascial release using balls and other props, breathing techniques and movement education, you'll learn how to release unnecessary tension, improve movement patterns and help your body find a more balanced way of moving.

Rather than simply treating symptoms, our aim is to understand how your whole body works together. Often the area that hurts isn't the area causing the problem. By improving the way different parts of your body communicate and move together, we can create lasting improvements instead of temporary relief.

Most importantly, you'll leave with practical skills and exercises you can continue using long after our sessions have finished.

Fascia-Focused Movement Therapy may help if you:

  • Live with persistent or recurring pain

  • Experience stiffness or reduced mobility

  • Have ongoing neck, shoulder or back pain

  • Struggle with poor posture or movement habits

  • Experience recurring injuries

  • Want to improve your balance and reduce your risk of falls

  • Feel less confident moving than you once did

  • Want to stay active and independent as you age

  • Would like to improve strength, flexibility and coordination

  • Are looking for a whole-person approach that considers both physical and emotional wellbeing

Everyone moves differently, so every programme is personalised to your goals, abilities and lifestyle.

Who Can it Help?

What is Fascia?

Fascia is a remarkable network of connective tissue that surrounds and supports every muscle, bone, organ, nerve and blood vessel throughout your body. Rather than thinking of the body as separate muscles and joints, fascia helps us understand the body as one connected system.

Healthy fascia is flexible, strong and adaptable, allowing us to move smoothly and efficiently. When we experience injury, repetitive movement, prolonged sitting, stress or inactivity, fascia can become less adaptable. This may contribute to stiffness, restricted movement and increased effort when performing everyday activities.

Fascia is also richly supplied with sensory nerve endings and plays an important role in how we perceive movement, position, tension and pain. This is one reason why improving the quality of movement and reducing unnecessary tension can have benefits that extend beyond flexibility alone.

"If you suffer from a short/long term injury, struggle focusing or maintaining a positive mindset, Georgina will undoubtedly support you as she did me."

Why Movement Matters

Your body is always adapting to how you use it.

If you've been living with pain for months or years, it's common to develop movement patterns that protect sensitive areas. While these adaptations can be helpful initially, over time they may contribute to ongoing discomfort, reduced mobility and increased effort.

Gentle, targeted movement gives your brain and body opportunities to explore new ways of moving. As confidence grows, many people notice they feel stronger, more balanced and more at ease in everyday life.

Movement isn't just about exercise—it's one of the most powerful ways we communicate safety to our nervous system.

I believe your body is incredibly adaptable.

Rather than trying to "fix" you, we'll work together to understand how your body currently moves and explore ways to help it move with greater ease and efficiency.

My approach combines fascia-informed movement, yoga therapy principles, nervous system regulation and movement education to support the whole person—not just the painful area.

Whether your goal is walking comfortably again, gardening without pain, improving your balance, returning to sport or simply feeling more at home in your body, we'll work towards what matters most to you.
