Yoga teacher and yoga therapist in Norfolk

Hello

Welcome to Soulful Yoga. I’m Georgina, an experienced yoga teacher and yoga therapist living in Norfolk. I help people to reclaim their health and wellbeing, to feel good, really and truly good and balanced, from the inside out.

I share yoga in a way that guides you to tune into the wisdom within your body, teaching you to be kind and compassionate with yourself and to create a space within you where you can feel calm, balanced and safe.

A woman is sat on a yoga mat smiling, wooden floor and white paint wall behind her.

I first discovered yoga when I was 19 and over the years my practice has helped to keep sane and level through all sorts of ups and downs. We all go through challenges in our lives, some small and some big, and for me my yoga practice has been an anchor that keeps me stable whatever life throws my way. Sharing the benefits of yoga and yoga therapy has become my passion and lead me to create Soulful Yoga and more recently, Health Through Yoga CIC.

My qualifications

I first trained as a yoga teacher, undertaking a year long 200 hr training with Swami Atma Gyanam, to deepen my own knowledge and understanding of yoga. As my skills and knowledge increased, I quickly came to realise the vast benefits that yoga could bring to us all. This lead me to embark on a two year, 550 hr diploma in yoga therapy.

As a yoga therapist I have much more in-depth knowledge of various health conditions than a regular yoga teacher and a clear understanding of how to apply yoga to safely support people facing health issues. I love yoga therapy because it gives me the opportunity to work one on one with people, getting to know them as individuals and tailoring the practices to suit their needs.

Yoga therapy is a unique approach to health that combines the ancient practices of yoga with a modern, scientific understanding of the body and mind. It brings together practices that yogis have used for thousands of years with up-to-date neuroscience, psychology and physiotherapy.

Since completing my yoga therapy training I have also trained in pregnancy and postnatal yoga, including hypnobirthing, yoga for children and teens and anatomy and fascia for health and functional movement.
